20. I've had one speeding ticket in the intervening years

21. I didn't get my ears pierced until I was 30 (30 was a good year!)

I was 50-something when I got the second holes pierced

23. I love to read and have pretty eclectic taste in books, but my favorites are detective/mystery

My son is an only child

27. I have 5 step-children

28. My beautiful grandchildren fill my life with sunshine - I hate living so far away from them all

I absolutely can't stand rap or heavy metal either

I love to dance - I can't anymore because of my breathing but I still love it

I'm forever using song titles or lyrics to make a point, to joke or tease, or as parts of conversation

I used to need music to go to sleep by and kept my clock-radio on - now I can't stand any kind of noise, especially my husband's snoring, and need total quiet

69. I'm a registered Democrat

I don't like politics much and won't discuss it, along with religion or abortion with others - it's an exercise in futility and creates ugliness in otherwise nice people

I love movies, especially ones that touch my emotions - tear-jerkers, comedies, drama, mysteries - not fond of slapstick in any form

One of my favorite movie lines is from Independence Day when Will Smith says to Jeff Goldblum - "No, really... you think?" as they're speeding away from the aliens. Cracks me up every time.

I think Anthony Hopkins is the best actor of our time

I'm easy going and very good natured and it takes a lot to really piss me off; once you do, you've got to earn your way back into my good graces

I'm a big fan of Survivor and look forward to each season

I love Dr. Phil's philosophy

My mother-in-law once said I had understated elegance - I like that
